LESS THAN impressed with tonight’s pressing. It’s not a terrible tragedy, but clearly even this much volume is too much. When this interim program is done I’m going to have to get some more advice from my coaches on loading.
Of course, I should expect to be a little underpowered anyway, as I’m fucking sick. Still. It’s leaving me, slowly.
Once I begin weekend events training at Genesis, I’ll be clean-pressing the log on saturdays too. Let’s hope my tendons can take it. And on that subject; I’ve already had some counselling from Joel, who has suggested high-repetition hammer curls at the end of my squats routine. This will strengthen another weak spot; my biceps tendons. More time spent in the Mirror room.
